Here's a cool invention from someone that used to go to LSU, and my high school, Belaire High in Baton Rouge. Pete Bush calls his invention The Bam Vino. It is a one-of-a-kind, conversation piece wine bottle holder. They sell two versions. One is an LSU player and the other is a generic bronze version. The price is $49.50. They are in the process of creating versions for other schools.

HURRICANE WARNING: The National Weather Service has issued a Hurricane Warning exclusively for central Florida. A very rare west-to-east tropical system is expected to develop from an area of disturbance into a category 6 "Damn Strong" hurricane, to be named Mike.

This afternoon we had a catfish fry for my birthday. My family surprised me with an LSU Birthday Cookie. It was ALMOST too cool to eat. ALMOST.

Quarterback Ryan Perrillous is no longer a member of the LSU football team. I hate to see such a great athlete go down in flames like this. He was only a year or two away from a million dollar payday in the NFL. So sad. I'm predicting some desperate school picks him up. View the article.

This morning I got an alert that Ryan Perrilloux was taken off of suspension. He still isn't allowed back on the playing field yet. Coach Miles says that Perrilloux has gotten his act together. I hope this is true. Ryan Perrilloux will have tremendous opportunities in the future, if he can play by the rules. Here's the link to the AP story.

Les Miles got a new contract and a raise. He now makes $1000 more than LSU's former coach, Nick Saban. According to the stories, he is now the highest paid coach in the SEC and the third highest paid in the country.

I saw that LSU suspended Ryan Perrilloux indefinately. Perrilloux is only two years away from a multi-million dollar payoff. What is he thinking?
