Buffalo Wild Wings reported earnings tonight.
The stock was down around $5 or (12.75%) in afterhours trading around to $34.01 or so.
Why can’t management be more conservative with their estimates? Why don’t they ever learn? I don’t get it.
My biggest investment mistake of the year was selling my Chipotle stock.
My second biggest […]

Last night I watched VA Tech blow a 10 point lead against Boston College. Thanks to Doug Flutie, Boston College has the mindset that they are never out of a game. That’s a great mindset to have.
All Virginia Tech had to do was catch the onside kick and the game would have been […]

LSU needs VA Tech to beat Boston College tonight. This would push LSU up to #2 in the BCS rankings. Then they must take on Saban’s Tide… The games get a little easier after Alabama.

As part of the TipDish project, we needed to use Rmagick to manipulate avatars.
I was real sad to see it required 6+ pages of install instructions for OS X. The Windows install is MUCH simpler.
I was ready to pay someone to install it for me.
But I decided to just plod through the instructions.

I love this post by Rick Schwartz.
He says, in order to win, you have to fail (and fail often). He talks about how Babe Ruth had more strike outs than anyone. And how the most famous boxers in history were NOT undefeated.
This sports talk reminds me of college football.
IMHO, the best college football […]

I surfed the web this morning looking for more information about the LSU / Auburn game.
Every where I went, people said Les Miles was either the dumbest guy in the world, or the luckiest.
It looked like LSU was going to set up Colt David for a field goal to win the game. Instead Matt […]

Last night I watched as Rutgers beat South Florida. If LSU beats Auburn on Saturday they will rise to #3 in the BCS. Now it is all up to Boston College to drop the ball.
Geaux Tigers!

Here’s a sniglet we came up with at work.
Floor Jacking - When you get on an elevator at the ground level and push the button for the 10th floor, then someone gets on at the 5th floor and then gets off on the 6th floor. This is a floor jacking. Consider yourself “floor […]

Last Thursday, the TipDish group met to pick a leader. There were two candidates for the role of CEO. After a vote, Josh Tabin, was elected as our leader.
Now that we have a designated leader, I feel more confident that we will be able to make more progress. We have set some […]

I have close to 100 domains but have never sold one before.
That changed last week when I sold my first domain through Sedo! (Actually, the transfer is still in progress, but Sedo has the money.)
The week before I received an offer on a .mobi I bought one year ago. The buyer actually wanted […]
